As I understand it, "hate"-orade is not so much an allusion to gatorade but part of the new trend of putting "hate" or "hater" in a word in place of a syllable that sometimes rhymes with "hate" or "hater" or using "hate" or "hater" in a compound word.

Other examples: hater tots, hateration nation, haterrhoids, hatersauce, haterolic, haterosexual.

Aren't these people who make up these new terms terribly clever?

It's not just you. It seems that two phrases that come out of the same event should have similar explanations... alas, the world is not logical!
