Noooooo if you have any sort of stomach issues stay away because it’ll make things so much worse. Like needing to go to the ER worse.

Mine is currently wrecked from having to take high dose prednisone plus antibiotics and sleeping tablets. I dread eating anything at the moment because it's so painful. Protect your insides, people!

I know people in Hollywood are desperate to be skinny but I don’t know how they deal with this drug; I tried similar and it made me so sick.

I think even with diabetic patients it is going to fall out of use because it is just too harsh on the system. Hopefully it’ll just be a stepping stone for them to find something better.

i think, just like everything else, some people can tolerate and some people cannot. i'm on a compounded version of semaglutide -- not name brand ozempic --i'm currently up to 175 and i haven't gotten really nauseous yet. there was one week at around 100 when i did, but still never threw up. the only thing i hate is that it makes me tired the first day or two after my injection. and i hate how much it costs.

You're so lucky. Even with the smallest dose of .25 I was severely sick.

i'm so sorry to hear that. there's a possibility mine is compounded with something that helps with nausea? i also take it with b-12. supposedly that helps with the nausea too.

Every month my husband has to call all the pharmacies to find his ADHD meds since there’s still a shortage and it’s such a stressful nightmare…I cannot even imagine going through that for medicine that’s SO necessary for your health.

Truly wish such bad things on the people using it for cosmetic reasons.

i assume you're probably aware that the DEA created this headache by randomly imposing production limits on these drugs, same as they did with opioids. Absolutely nothing to do with need or demand, just trying to look like they're doing something

Oh damn I didn’t know that but now that I do it’s very much a duh moment. The feds manage to make healthcare in this country even more nightmarish every day

I have Type 2, so I was on Ozempic before it was “trendy”. Maybe it’s bc I actually needed it and I wasn’t using it for weight loss, but yeah, I did not drop weight like all these people. Disappointing.

Nope, a lot of diabetics also tend to lose weight (which is why they also got the same drug approved for weight loss after noticing diabetics losing weight) it simply comes down to how much of your appetite it is able to suppress and if people ignore/follow those cues. Even then the weight loss seen is on a bell curve. Most people are expected to lose 5%. A good chunk can lose 10% or more. But a lot will also see <5% so it varies and doesn't correlate to being diabetic vs non-diabetic
