I had always been neutral to mindy but that ceased the other day when she posted her swimsuit line that isn’t size inclusive. It just leaves a really bad taste in my mouth when people forget where they came from.

So tone deaf. She really had no idea she was going to be the first person people thought of when they heard the word Ozempic, and it shows.

It’s really depressing and ghoulish to me that she’s like nope this is not good stuff but everyone’s gg to use it so imma earn money off it…

my partner uses it for their diabetes and the fact that it's hardly ever in stock at our pharmacy and they always have to reorder it when they need refills makes me so upset. it's great and works well for them but access is such an issue for people who actually need it 😤😞

Them needing to order it for refills isn’t really an accessibility issue... It’s because it’s a $1,000 medication that needs to be refrigerated, has multiple dosages and despite its rising popularity isn’t all that commonly prescribed yet. It would be more prudent for them to order what they need in that case.

so there's no shortage? 🤔
and yes I'm aware how it's stored and the pricing, similar to how other expensive and cold stocked medications and vaccines are.

i was just sharing my partner's lived experience as they're a diabetic who benefits from this med and I'm their partner who helps weather the storm of their anxiety and frustration when acquiring it becomes a hassle

I never said there wasn’t a shortage or that it was easy peasy to get it… just explaining a potential reason why your pharmacy may not keep it in stock on site. The fridge at my pharmacy is very small and also looks hella old tbh, and they keep opening and closing it. It’s probably safer to order those as needed rather than keep a stock on hand, but I very familiar regarding how frustrating it is to have to wait days, if not weeks, for them to finally come in.

yeah and as much as i understand the pressure to have a certain body type... when you fuck up your health for good doing these things... will you think that "ah but at least for a second i looked like THAT!"? probably not.

Seems like a lot of people are losing their gallbladders from it. As someone who does not have their gallbladder (for non Ozempic reasons) that sounds...not great to me. You don't appreciate it until you don't have it anymore.

What problems have you been struggling with post-cholecystectomy? Mine had to come out because it was causing all kinds of havoc but I do feel my doctors and surgeon really downplayed the issues you can get from no longer having a gallbladder.
