The acting community must looooooove Emily and John or something.

All these noms reek of internal favoritism rather than merit.

Elizabeth Debicki should be getting Emily Blunt's and Claire Foy's hype

Does Rami Malek have a shot at winning the lead awards or is there a major front runner in the lead actor category?

Ethan Hawke's been winning all of the critics' awards, but I think Bradley Cooper might be the frontrunner on the televised ceremonies next month

I do not think he has a chance. BCoop is the popular fave and Hawke is the critical fave.

Category fraud is real this year especially in supporting actress. Imagine nominating three leads in a supporting category all while leaving out the best supporting performance of the year in Regina King.

Also I can’t at Margot getting in supporting and Ronan being completely shut out even though she acted her way around Margot. A joke lmfao

They really need to change the rules around what is eligible for supporting because IA this category is nonsense.

It’s very annoying because Emma Stone, Rachel Weisz and Emily Blunt were not supporting in their films. The former two only went supporting to ensure their nominations and I’m sure Paramount put Blunt in supporting so not to clash with Mary Poppins.

But that’s not fair to actresses who are actually supporting in their films. There were so many great supporting performances this year imo and they’re being left out so these women can get nominations for the sake of getting nominated. It’s bull shit.

It’s particularly bad when a WOC gets snubbed in favor of white actresses committing category fraud (and all of whom have had plenty of accolades throughout their career).

Bohemian Rhapsody is a mediocre movie at best so i don't understand why a+ll the love, doesn't make sense, Keri and Matthew getting snubbed is bullshit, same with Yalitza Aparicio, also why the Ozark love???

And lol what's with the Kominsky method love? first in the GG's and now here, yeah it is better than your usual Chuck Lorre comedy and it's better than i expected but still not award worthy, especially when the Good Place exists and it's miles ahead of it, Alan Arkin does deserve a nom tho imo, he is fantastic there and if the show is any good that's because him.

I'm honestly wondering if the industry is so out of touch with the general audience thing got to them and they're giving BR love, because audiences loooove queen.

That is probably what happened because yeah, doesn't make sense, in RT the movie is at 60% lmao, and it's not a good movie, just shines because Queen.

BR is one of those movies that you wish the actors could be involved in something else together because as a group theyre great (which is why im okay with the cast nom) but generally yeah, not a good film
