Does Rami Malek have a shot at winning the lead awards or is there a major front runner in the lead actor category?

Ethan Hawke's been winning all of the critics' awards, but I think Bradley Cooper might be the frontrunner on the televised ceremonies next month

I do not think he has a chance. BCoop is the popular fave and Hawke is the critical fave.

Ethan Hawke, Bradley Cooper and Christian Bale could split a lot of votes among themselves. Bale is unrecognizable as himself in a biopic, Hawke is a critical darling, and Cooper might get a lot "sorry I couldn't give you my Best Director vote" votes. But Malek is young, hasn't gotten prior noms and his movie is not a fave, so that's three strikes against him.
