Saturday, March 4th. EARLY EARLY MORNING.np_dumbledoreJanuary 11 2007, 21:13:03 UTC
Dumbledore had risen excruciatingly early, as usual. It was the plight of being old, he imagined, wishing for the days when he could sleep in until noon. He unlocked the large overbearing doors to the Great Hall, pushing them open with a surprising ease considering, again, his age.
Silence hovered over the hall, soon to be broken by a bustle of students, no doubt louder than usual because of the Quidditch game scheduled. The ceiling showed no signs of snow, but the clouds whipped across it at an alarming rate. Dumbledore smiled slightly as he made his way to the Head Table, excited for the possibilities of the day.
Saturday, March 4th, Breakfast at the Puff Table!anora_beeJanuary 12 2007, 04:11:53 UTC
Anora felt a LITTLE apprehensive about sitting at the Puff table, as apparently there were all of these HOUSE PRIDE issues going on right now, but whatever, she was with her friends, did she care? NOPERS, that's what.
She was sitting beside Taylor and Derek and Hannah were on the opposite side of the bench. Yummm, breakfast. And hey, it was Saturday. Sadly, breakfast time did not include the possibilities of her beloved sandwiches, but there WAS bacon. And that was always a reason to enjoy the morning. "So, it is a Saturday," she pointed out rather obviously. "What's the plan?" she looked around at the lot of them expectantly while picking up a piece of bacon.

"Well," Taylor yawned dramatically and stretched his arm out and around Anora's shoulder, "I have to make an appearance at the match at some point, as I am sure you will too.." Taylor said and took a drink of juice. "You're wanting to go too eh?" He said, she nodded.
"But up until that point, I am free. Maybe we should go and make some snow angels or somethin'" Taylor offered with a smirk to Anora beside him. As he held her gaze, he stealthily stole a piece of bacon off of her plate.

"An appearance?" Derek gave his best mate an amused look. "Merlin, you are a horrible brother." To accentuate his point he the remainder of his toast at Taylor. Of course Derek was planning on catching the game. There were Darin and Anya to cheer on and Quidditch in general to keep on top of. He was really hoping Gryffindor would lose but, well, either way Ravenclaw was still behind.
He rolled his eyes at the bacon stealing. His mate was not nearly as smooth as he thought he was. "Snow angels? Seriously?" Given that it was the four of them they were talking about, Derek found it much more likely that they'd end up building forts and starting a snowball fight. Actually, that didn't sound like such a bad idea.

Hannah had walked into the Great Hall with her friends, and when they all decided to eat at the Hufflepuff table. And yes, Hannah most certainly did notice Rupert making some random comment and moving down to the end of the table. Something about chair kicking and ice cream. Possibly about her Dad, too. What a ponce!
Today, being Saturday March fourth, was Nathaniel's birthday. She'd gotten him a gift and everything, and would have to make some sort of plans with him later. Pranks, perhaps.
Anyways, Hannah really didn't care about the stupid Quidditch game. But she did support Derek and Anora... and Taylor. Whatever, she would probably go. Unless something else came up. Something more fun. Maybe she'd have to make up her own fun.
"Snow angels? That sounds lame. Unless it's a euphemism, in which case I completely support it." She reached for her apple juice and took a sip. Yes, it was starting to look like it would be a fun weekend. Much less stress than the Career Fair, at least.
Monday February 27th - Gryff Table - SuppertimebeccymacJanuary 13 2007, 07:51:25 UTC
Beccy rolled her eyes as she pushed her supper around on her plate and listened to a nearby group of her housemates talking about their weekend - what boys they snogged or wanted to snog and that sort of thing. Couldn't they see there were more important things to think about? Sometimes she felt so out of place here, not caring about boys or quidditch or not any of the trivial stuff that most of her classmates seemed to be focused on.
She caught a familiar profile out of the corner of her eye, though, and her whole demeanor changed. Supper was quickly forgotten and she ran towards the man who'd just entered the Great Hall, wrapping her arms around him in a tight hug.
"Daddy! What are you doing here?" She was genuinely confused, because she'd just seen Granddad at the career fair and he hadn't said a word about Dad coming around. But she was also unmistakably happy to see him. No doubt about it, Rebecca MacAlaister was definitely a Daddy's Girl.
Re: Monday February 27th - Gryff Table - Suppertimeauror_calJanuary 14 2007, 19:26:13 UTC
It had only been a few hours since Mac had reassigned him to Hogwarts. The job was the job. He loved his job -always had- so he didn't question his orders in the least. Besides, this new station put him closer to Beccy and that, in his eyes, at least, was always a good thing.
After arriving and getting settled into his quarters, he'd headed to the Great Hall. A man had to eat, right? He was not, by any means, checking up on said daughter.
Of course, honestly, he had no reason to 'check up' on her. She was a wonderful child. He simply wanted to see her. Really, who could fault him for that?
As he entered, his eyes began to scan the Gryffindor table for a head of bright red hair. Before his eyes could really finish the search, he had a set of arms wrapped around him. His own arms, instantly, closed around the girl.
"I... well, I'll be living here for a while," he explained with a smile. "New orders... you know how the 'old man' can be," he teased.
Re: Monday February 27th - Gryff Table - SuppertimebeccymacJanuary 14 2007, 19:36:21 UTC
That was the best news Beccy had heard in a good while. Dad was going to be living at Hogwarts for awhile? That was great! She gave him a light punch on the arm, though, which was more intended for her granddad, but it wasn't like she could reach him. It was kind of like that whole 'shoot the messenger' thing.
"That prat! I saw him just the other day at that career thing and he didn't say a word!" she grumbled, pouting slightly. One might be amused to note that she looked very much like Mac when she grumbled like that. Except, of course, for the red hair and the fact that she resembled her mother more than anyone.

Cal laughed when his daughter punched him in the arm.
"Like I said," he continued to tease, though he father wasn't exactly there to defend himself, "you know how the old man can be."
Cal was very happy to be with his daughter. She always seemed to take the worn look off of his face. The look that had appeared when Cara had gotten hurt.
"What's for dinner?" he questioned, looking back over the Gryffindor table again. "Am I allowed to sit with my daughter or would you rather me eat up there with the teachers."
He knew for a fact that his daughter wasn't like most teenagers. He knew that she wouldn't be embarrassed by his joining her but he liked to pick at her anyway. Besides, if he could, occasionally, be a little silly with Beccy... he'd never be that way.
Thursday, March 2nd, Dinner at the Gryffindor Tabledanielle_coleJanuary 13 2007, 23:27:44 UTC
Danielle showed up to dinner late; she'd finally caught up on the homework her professors had been nagging her about. She realized, with a sigh, that the table had filled up fast with unfamiliar faces. She sat down at the end of the table nearest to the door and glumly served herself some food.
Between double potions, homework, and not seeing anyone to distract her, she was feeling rather bored.

"Sup beautiful," Von said from behind her. "Mind if I join you?" He was of course wearing his characteristic Doctor Who ensemble, and trailing the scarf along the floor. He took his hat off and waited for her to answer, which was quite nice of him.
Re: Thursday, March 2nd, Dinner at the Gryffindor Tabledanielle_coleJanuary 13 2007, 23:39:43 UTC
Danielle's head snapped around at the familiar voice. Despite herself, she had to look Von's outfit over and smile.
"Ah, Von, of course..." she motioned to the empty seat in front of her. "I love the look. Suits you well," she commented. She hadn't seen him in a while and was quite glad to see that he was in better spirits. She awkwardly stabbed a potato at the memory. "What've you been up to? Talked to Jojo lately?"
Re: Thursday, March 2nd, Dinner at the Gryffindor TablepunkervonJanuary 13 2007, 23:52:13 UTC
Von looked very sad as he took the seat in front of her. "Jo doesn't talk to me much any more. I don't think he likes me any more." He looked down at his hands before picking up an apple and slowly beginning to peel it.
The red peel spiralled towards the table as he cut it off, tongue sticking out slightly at the edge of his mouth. "Uh, so," he said, looking up from the apple for a second, "how was your birthday?"
Monday, March 6 - Lunch at the Puff tablemynameisanyaJanuary 16 2007, 22:20:33 UTC
Anya found a seat at the Great Hall and wondered quickly where had Logan gone off to..probably to go sit with Sara or something. Anya rolled her eyes to herself as she thought and maybe laughed a bit.
He should of course be with J.J. and her celebrating Hufflepuff's awesome win! She really was still too excited about the whole thing, bouncing around after the game Saturday and all of Sunday. Just thinking about it now made her smile widely.
Re: Monday, March 6 - Lunch at the Puff tablejj_rizzoJanuary 16 2007, 23:07:40 UTC
J.J. had indeed pulled Logan out of his loser shell and had made him at least celebrate in some fashion. Or be happy for him at any rate. Some best mate eh?
But overall it had been a great weekend. A brilliant weekend! Especially for Quidditch which made him grin all over again. They won! It was brilliant!! And look who was at the Puff table, none other than his other best mate Anya. Brilliant!
"'lo love!" He sat down with a plop in front of her and grinned. "What's for lunch?"
Re: Monday, March 6 - Lunch at the Puff tablejj_rizzoJanuary 17 2007, 15:55:11 UTC
She shouldn't be giggling because yes he had SEEN that smile on her face too. So they were in the same bloody boat here. Yep.
"Hmm..." he tried to decide between them but in the end just gave up, opting to just put as much as he could fit on his plate. Of course roast beef could go on top of his chicken. It conserves space and he was a hungry growing boy.
Taking a mental pause from food, he tried to think of who Anya was talking about before realizing that by 'he' she was referring to Logan. Oh right. "I don't know what's up with him, you would think that he could understand when we're excited about something. We've heard him prattling on about some book for ages before right?"
...okay so maybe he had thrown a pillow whenever Logan had started prattling on about a book but that didn't matter. He was still talking about it.
"And plus who could get tired of talking about quidditch? Blimey it's the best sport ever."
