Wednesday, March 8th - Dinner at the Ravenclaw tablethefrenchclawJanuary 17 2007, 06:27:47 UTC
Elodie was sitting at the table, pushing some food around on her plate. It wasn't that she didn't fancy it, but as usual her small appetite was getting the best of her. Plus her mind was more concerned with the upcoming NEWTs to focus on something as trivial as food in her mind.
But she still took a small forkful of food, hoping that it would be sufficient to tide her over until breakfast or lunch the next day.

"So..where is that pen pal you promised me." Addie asked with less than slight innocence as she took a seat at the Ravenclaw table without any hesitation.
"And what did the food do to you?" She observed as she watched Elodie push around the food. "I know that it isn't the best in the world but it's not completely horrid either."
Monday, March 6th - Lunch at the Claw TablethecharmingtwinJanuary 19 2007, 01:49:46 UTC
After his brief stop to break up that deplorable scene with J.J. and Anya, Darin walked straight to the Ravenclaw table and sat down next to his best mate. Usually Darin didn't eat at tables that weren't his own. By virtue of the fact that he and Taylor outnumbered Derek, the other bloke usually joined them if anything but today it was worth sitting with the bookworms.
"Hey," he said casually. Darin tried to give Derek a cool and normal smile, but it didn't come off quite as well as he'd have liked. It was one thing not to want to put his mate on the spot and it was another entirely to sit down and not let himself ask at all if Derek was okay. He made an effort at companionable silence as he started dishing up but he ended up peering over while he poured his juice. "Seriously, how- How's the family?"

Derek had slept in this morning; he'd slept in for a long time. Apparently he was more tired than he'd thought after the weekend and, yeah, he didn't really have a good reason to wake up much before lunch so he hadn't. When he finally rolled out of bed he'd taken his time and hung out in a quiet corner of the Common Room until it seemed like it really was time to venture out and face the school. It wasn't really that he was expecting people to notice or stare but jumping back into everything just seemed weird

Taylor made his way down, having been held up in the corridor by a good discussion between him and a fourth year on the best use of a dungbomb. Obvious, it was having them explode in pockets of unsuspecting occupants. The fourth year attempted to argue that bombing a bathroom was best. Obviously a little bit of an amateur still. Taylor had rolled his eyes and dismissed the boy and ended up following Darin in later

Derek didn't want to talk about it. Well, Darin could understand that. He'd had to ask though, hadn't he? He'd actually felt pretty horrible about himself after finding out about it all post-Quidditch game, especially since Derek's mum had picked him up and there was nothing Darin could do then but sit and wait for his mate to come back. Now that the asking was out of the way and the bloke knew he was here for him and all of that, Darin could go on being normal and trying to keep his mind off of it.
"I know, right?" he exchanged a look with Taylor and cast another gaze back at J.J., yelling at him when it became apparent the boy hadn't gotten the hint the first time. "What's he think he's playing at?"

Denys was going over his Transfiguration essay during lunch. He had spent a considerable amount of time on this one and it had turned out quite good. Satisfied with his work, he put it aside and concentrated on his plate.

[Sorry, I don't mean to steal your threads. This is actually for plotty purposes.]
He was definitely the right height, there was no question about it. The Slytherin was good at charms (but then again, weren't the others too?) and supposedly pureblood (you could never know with Ashworths).
Nico hoped that the boy had blue eyes... it would make things so much easier if his sister's killer was someone whom he hadn't gone to school with for years. But then why the personal attack?
"What is that tune?" Nicodemus asked curiously as he edged his way over to the table- the Ravenclaw table, but they were close enough for Denys to hear him. He hesitated just before turning to the Ravenclaw table in the hope that Denys would open up to conversation.

"It's a love song from an operetta by Franz Lehár," Denys replied and looked up from his plate to see who he was talking to. "It's from The Merry Widow I think." The Ravenclaw's face looked somewhat familiar but he couldn't match it with a name. It didn't bother him though. He could count the Ravenclaws he actually knew on one hand.
"Forgive me if I'm being terribly rude but do we know each other?" The Slytherin was looking at Nicodemus, grey eyes wide with curiosity.
Thursday, March 9, Dinner - Gryff tableaddie_blackwoodJanuary 23 2007, 21:19:09 UTC
Addie hadn't really bothered in waiting for Qailah to get out of class or anyone in the common room before coming down to dinner. She knew she'd find someone, and if not a meal alone wasn't a bad thing...she always could play with someone new.
She stepped in, pausing a moment to try and spot Arisha but didn't see her, and then headed to the gryffindor table where she tried to decide what to have for dinner.
Re: Thursday, March 9, Dinner - Gryff tableqailah_nooraniJanuary 23 2007, 21:30:29 UTC
"Hey good-looking!" Qailah shouted as she came up behind Addie. She slammed her hands on her friend's shoulders simultaneously, hoping to give her a scare.
She slid quickly into the unoccupied seat next to Addie, purveying the myriad choices for dinner. She reached for a roll and put it straight into her mouth so she could shovel food onto her plate with both hands.
Re: Thursday, March 9, Dinner - Gryff tableaddie_blackwoodJanuary 23 2007, 21:35:47 UTC
Addie did jump a little bit and actually had to fight not to grab her hands and twist her arm behind her back...cause that wouldn't be nice would it? She untensed and rolled her eyes as Qailah sat down.
While Addie was every bit the tomboy, which pissed her parents off, she did guffaw a bit as Qailah became a pig. "Not much." Really she was her dorm mate, she could understand the girl.
Re: Thursday, March 9, Dinner - Gryff tableqailah_nooraniJanuary 23 2007, 21:52:57 UTC
"Oh really?" Qailah asked, chewing a bite of the roll. She'd filled her plate with vegetables and rice - there wasn't anything halal within reach - and began cutting them with her fork and knife. She wasn't a pig all the time.
"So, like, nothing new? Not anything going on? Nothing to report?" Qailah was trying not to burst at the seams with the news she had to share. "Really? So, nothing?"
Qailah was really hoping that Addie genuinely had nothing to share, because otherwise she might explode.
Tuesday, March 7th--LunchamorisaamherstJanuary 24 2007, 07:44:56 UTC
The plan was hatched and Amorisa was excited to see it followed through with JJ. This would be perfect, a way for him to get revenge on Chris, as well as for them to get back at their parents for the little stunt they pulled at the career fair. Excited? Absolutely.
So now, she was waiting for Anya to show up, so she could inform her friend of the plan. She knew Anya could keep a secret.
Re: Tuesday, March 7th--LunchmynameisanyaJanuary 24 2007, 21:38:29 UTC
Amorisa had been giving her strange looks in transfiguration all morning and then had given her a note to meet her for lunch... Anya gave her a wierd sort of look but had nodded and pocketed the note.
Now it was lunch and she saw Anya sitting at the puff table and went to join her. "So....what's up?"
Re: Tuesday, March 7th--LunchamorisaamherstJanuary 24 2007, 22:07:49 UTC
"Hey," Amorisa said to her friend with a smile. "So I have someting to tell you. JJ and I have come up with a plan for he and I to get back at our moms for the embarssing little scene they put us through at the career fair. Since you had to witness it and were no doubt insanely uncomfortable, I was wondering if you wanted in on the plot?"
Re: Tuesday, March 7th--LunchmynameisanyaJanuary 24 2007, 22:27:56 UTC
Anya just kind of stared at Amorisa for a second before nodding. It had been uncomfortable but she'd missed most of the embarrasing stuff... She had gotten a crazy letter from her mum afterwards but had ignored it.
"Um..yeah..sure." She gave a smile and started filling her glass with juice. Really she was supportive of Amorisa doing anything that didn't involve moping about Adrian.
