He needed to be in the locker room. He needed to be down there, changing into his green and silver uniform, he needed to be warming up for practice, he needed to be doing anything but wishing Lia good luck before the game where it would be her job to hit bludgers at him.
He... just wanted her to know that he didn't care what way the game turned out, even if it wasn't completely true. He wanted to kiss her on the lips.
So Cody waited outside the Great Hall for Lia to emerge, because he had seen her in there, picking at her food, and she too had to be in her locker room.

Lia knew she was a horrible, horrible person.
She was supposed to be in the locker room about, oh, now, but instead, she'd been stalling in the Great Hall. She was mostly in uniform anyway, so it was okay if she got to the locker room just in time. She was doing her best to avoid Cody if at all possible, because...okay, well, how would you feel if you had to hit large chunks of iron at your...Lia tried to decide whether or not she could (or should) use the term "boyfriend," even her head. She sighed, and finally pushed her plate away and walked out the door, completely oblivious to her surroundings. She couldn't wait any longer, and besides, she felt pretty sure Cody would be gone anyway, and once everything was over, it wasn't like they could be mad at each other.

Cody nearly jumped out of his skin when he saw Lia passing, and almost let her pass without nary a word. But after that hesitation he lunged and grabbed the upper part of her arm, trying to get her attention.
"Uhm, good luck," said Cody, not sure if that's where he should begin. Naia once told him that the proper gesture of good luck for performances was to tell someone to 'break a leg', but he didn't want to say that before a Quidditch match, considering that the Bludgers were her problem and flying was EVERYONE's problem.

Lia gasped loudly and jumped when she felt someone grab her arm.
"Oh!" she cried, realizing it was Cody. "Yeah, um, you too." She really did mean it. "Sorry. I, um, I didn't see you there."
Didn't he leave the Great Hall a while ago? Maybe not so long ago. Lia really didn't know what to say. Somehow, good luck avoiding the stuff I'm hitting just didn't seem like the right thing to say, so, as usual, she stopped talking.

Nathaniel had actually thought about going outside today. Maybe walk down by the lake, see if there was anything interesting going on. But no, it had to be raining, which was incredibly lame. Of course it would rain when he was interested in going outside.
Not that he couldn't just go out there anyway, but whatever. Instead he would just be bitter about it, because he could be. Of course, he would probably forget about being bitter in like two minutes. Oh well.
Of course, Herbology would probably suck today. All muddy and whatnot... maybe he would just skip it. Not like he liked that class anyway... hmm. Well, either way, he had to figure out something to do to kill time between now and then, so he was wandering the halls.

Alright, things were pretty okay today. Aside from Moreau disappearing Derek was feeling alright. There hadn't been any news and that was good and he'd just finished with a morning of Transfig so yeah, he was feeling better- in control or something, at least of class.
He was on his way back to Ravenclaw Tower for the rain-appropriate clothing it looked like he'd need to get to Care of Magical Creatures when he spotted Nathaniel. Great. Just the person Derek liked to see on any given day.
"Hey," he said unenthusiastically. "Loitering again?" Derek didn't really feel like starting anything though and there wasn't much force behind his comment.

Nathaniel raised an eyebrow when Derek greeted him with a very unenthusiastic hello. Not that he expected the guy to be excited to see him or anything -- he certainly wasn't excited.
He rolled his eyes at Derek's comment, though, and shrugged. "Not like you're doing anything terribly interesting yourself," he said, not much caring what Derek said or thought.

"On my way to class," Derek said smartly, "no time for interesting." Well, class as soon as he was done with this. It wasn't like Derek cared to give Nathaniel his detailed schedule. "What's your excuse?"

Amorisa sat at the table, poking at her food. It was lunch time, and she was hungry. Sighing, she piled some potatoes and chicken on her plate. This food was good, but she’d kill to have some of Ramsey’s cooking right now. Oh well, such was life.
For some reason today Amorisa was feeling a little glum. She was lonely and was half a pity party, table for one at the moment. Lame Amorisa, lame.
Sighing she scooped some potatoes in her mouth and looked around for anyone she knew.

Amorisa smiled at her cousin. "Hey Naia, how are you?" Artfully she avoided her question on how she was doing. She didn't know how to answer it at the moment.
"I am happy to have one of my most favorite cousins here though...makes things a lot better" She grinned. Spending time with Naia was always fun and something she enjoyed.

Unless, of course, she gave him a concussion.

Why did it seem like he did that a lot?
