Most of the Jessicas -- Jessicii? Probably not, but it's fun to say -- are probably still back in the rec room or lab, either trying not to touch anything, shuffling through the bookshelf as one can only do when one is in fact at least two on bookshelf duty, or trying to crack it in the lab

I'm not dead. That's... swell, because it would really suck if being dead hurt this much. But then the afterlife -- if it does indeed exist, and I suppose since I lived in a world with actual gods running around and recently spent a moderate amount of time fighting beside an actual angel, it's not something to write off -- would like an awful lot

That I could contribute something, whether it be scientific insight or assistance, simple willingness to do the right thing -- kind of in short supply among the native residents, clearly -- or, after I got hopped up on the same power-granting substance that's helped
