the_z's brother and sister-in-law came down today to help us repair the porch and prep the house for repainting tomorrow. Meanwhile, tim_almasy helped us run our garage sale (which was a total bust) and move brush and old wood and shingles out from the kennel in back. Progress report
I've managed to fill 5 bankers' boxes with various items to begin de-cluttering and de-personalizing the house, starting with my office. My figures are all packed up. My desk is looking rather spartan. All our CDs are packed up, save for those in Z's room and those that I want to rip before packing. One benefit of packing up a room to declutter it is that you rediscover old things that you'd forgotten you'd kept. Something I found on my desk is my old poetry journal, from back in my college days when I was an English major with delusions of talent. We talked to our loan officer today about what our funding options are. Since our plan is to sell the house soon, a refinance isn't likely to happen, or to be of any real benefit to us. Somehow, I am more tired after getting a solid 7 1/2 hours of sleep this morning than I was getting 5 1/2 interrupted hours of sleep yesterday. How does that work?
