Follow up from foxfirefey's last post about how the navstrip had the login box removed, we have another reason why her good point from that post really is a good point. daveman692 has written a Greasemonkey script to bring it back: I think this is my first real Greasemonkey script so comments/suggestions are definitely welcomed.

nikolasco has alerted us to some developments with the NavStrip.

What that code means: CProd is coming to the NavStrip! Except only one prod is currently being planned: a reminder about Plus accounts, of course!

Someone has made a post in suggestions you might want to support and encourage your like minded fellows to support. That's no guarantee it will be implemented, but the last suggestion like this wasn't strongly supported before being dismissed, so make sure your opinions are on record this time.

Since it seems that the Navigation Strip was turned on for everybody today or yesterday, here is a reminder:

You can disable it by going to the Viewing Options page and unchecking the two boxes below 'Navigation strip display options ( Read more... )

I know a lot of the people here don't like the navigation strip and have specifically, consciously chosen not to enable it. We're going to be turning it on retroactively for users who (a) joined before it was on by default, (b) don't have either of the options set, (c) haven't turned off the nav strip cprod ( Read more... )
