Someone has made a post in suggestions you might want to support and encourage your like minded fellows to support. That's no guarantee it will be implemented, but the last suggestion like this wasn't strongly supported before being dismissed, so make sure your opinions are on record this time.

I fully support that suggestion.

The only real argument against it I've seen there is "style=mine overrides it so you won't see it", but when it literally took months for style=mine to stop overriding your prefs forcing you to see it and this was only fixed days ago, I don't think it's a very solid argument.

And when only some people need to use style=mine to enforce their viewing preference and not others, and when no one can tell me why that is, the argument is even less solid.

The fact that one person can say "it should always follow the owner's preferences" and then turn around and say "it doesn't affect you if other people can see the navstrip on your journal" doesn't help, either.

Yes, I'm still completely flabbergasted by that one.
