Yesterday in Chinatown I picked up *black* rice noodles. I assume they are made from forbidden rice. The ingredients list is rice flour, water and starch. They have that same purple/blackness of forbidden rice.

I'm looking forward to trying them.

As you know, I love food. Love it. Adore it.

But the thing about any kind of GI issue is that it seriously messes with your food enjoyment. Everything becomes an issue. While Mr.Bento continues to perform admiringly, my little summer rolls are not the thing to pack in him. They just don't stand up to transportation, eating with one's fingers from a bowl, etc. They were, however, quite tasty. But they are definitely table and plate food.

No potatoes at the market for bulking up tonights dinner so I'll get them at the market near home. That's OK, because after a several week absence again, my Favorite Farmers were back.
