I have successfully completed Firefighter 2 with the second highest grade in the class. I am now one step closer to being eligible for an engine assignment at work. My captain will be pleased. I must, however, wash my funk nasty gear, which smells like a truly unholy mixture of accumulated sweat, smoke, and my own personal brand of man-stench. ( Read more... )

So, a couple weeks ago Kelli twisted her wrist while lifting the stretcher off the medic while there was a 350+ lb. dude on it. I've been constantly out and doing stuff lately. Part of it is Stephanie being gone, I think. I don't feel like sitting around and moping about missing her, so I go out, hang out with friends, and have fun to distract myself. Almost at the halfway point for Fire 2. I'll be glad when it's done. One step closer to promoting and being able to transfer to a full engine spot.
