So apparently the NaNo guys are now doing Camp NaNoWriMo, which is NaNo but in July or August (depending on which month you commit to -- or both, I'm sure). I think Wordle is really fun to play with. It's nice to put in a bunch of text and see what words I use the most.

It makes me realize that I write really bad beige prose, though. My main character name always overshadows everything. Most of my sentences can be summed up as "X does this" over and over again.

I've been sick the past two days. Sinuses are all clogged up, and today I'm developing a cough. It's amazing, I get a lot of sleep on my days off, but not usually this much! I'll freely admit it: I'm awful about editing my personal writing. I re-read stuff and fix what I see, but I never actually sit down and properly pick it through, to make sure it makes sense, to make sure the prose is the best as it can be, that kind of thing.

So, last night, I ended up doing a few word wars with cheeky_duckie and wrapped up my NaNo novel. For the first time ever, it's actually done by December 1st! I'm happy about that.
