I have, once again, a clog of ideas I don't think I will ever write up in my brain. I shall write then down here and then people can adopt them or carve out bits they want to use. So I noticed on FFnet several youngsters referring to fan fiction as fanfix. I understand the addictive nature of the stories, which makes the term rather accurate but something about it is just a bit disturbing. Fanfix. Huh.
