“Thanks ,Kitty” I sniffed cracking a smile for the first time in a long while ,I have to hand it to the mortal girl she’d put back the determination in me. There’s still hope, I thought.
I ran from the bar, kissing Kitty’s cheek thank you before storming down into the streets. The night was near its end but I ran. The streets were cold and unforgiving as the October wind pierced the flesh of mortal and immortal alike, I ran through past the circle of addicts, past the lamps, past the hum of the city to where I called home-my feet smacking the pavement as I ran beyond the street lamps.
The castle turrets grew towards the grey starry skies and I smelt the morning coming closer. So I ran through the corridors and up the many flights of stairs for I knew now what I must have to do and I was determined to have his love.

The red cedar doors flung open with my stride as I burst into the main hall, my footsteps echoing through the empty marble chamber .I saw the dim light flicker in the bedroom where I left my Master and I knew then I must do what my heart told me : Go to him . But I sensed something with him, it was alien and different to me, it emanated power and the scent of it drifted through to me, a thick spicy scent of age and the pine of a great forest-unknown in my city. And within that presence I sensed I detected a heat that long stopped beating . Someone was with Ville.

In the pale light from behind a corner I saw the silhouette of my Master strewn across the floor beaten and bruised, his eyes fixed on me and seemed to say ‘I’m sorry’. The blonde vampiric figure I had detected stood towering him over him with a snarl of possession. I saw in his blue cold eyes a hatred that told me one thing of his identity: Master. I stepped out from my hiding in the gloom.

“Herra Vuori, miellyttää!” Ville blurted cringing in pain .I wanted to go to him, I wanted to take him up in my embrace and tell him we were going to be together, and that nothing would keep me from his side. But there was an obstacles, and he was not pleased by my dramatic entrance in the least.
The blonde aged one stepped forth to me and I heard him speak-

“Oh, so you’re my Ville’s boy?” he smirked moving close enough to breathe on me “He wasn’t joking when he said you were attractive”
I was furious, who was this creature invading my home and inflicting harm on the one I love? Who did he dare think he was talking to me this way in my very house?

“Hold your tongue sir!” I protested “Whom do I have the pleasure? I find it rude to dispense of you before I learn what name the corpse goes by”
“Herra Vuori” smirked the vampire quite surprised my aggressive tone, he gestured round the room encircling it with a wave of the wrist as if to gaze upon all he owned “Tell me Margera, what do you see here for you?”
I did not know what the meaning of this was, so I looked at him in question. Vuori stepped to Ville’s bruised side and laughed, a thick laugh slicked with malice and pride.

“Tell me boy,” he sighed still laughing a little to himself “What makes you risk your life in this place? Surely its not this worthless whore !”he cackled. At these filthy words I became enraged.
“I told you still your tongue before I cut it out!” I shouted hatred burning bellow the surface. Before I knew what I was doing I attacked him. I flew at him and I must have caught him off guard because I caused him to loose his footing, taken back he studied me closely as if sizing me up.
“Now that’s the power that runs through our bloodline” he smirked.
“Our bloodline?”
“Your blood is my blood,” he laughed again, this time arrogantly sweeping his whitening hair from his cruel eyes “for the simple fact that it is also his” he gestured to my broken beauty.

“ I am no more yours than he is” I hissed in reply “and Ville never belonged to you”
The elder in the dark shot me a cynical glance, and lifted his nose which was shortly followed by an articulate yet spiteful speech.

“I have lived far longer than you could even fathom, child. I have brought six fledglings up from the gutters of this world and in turn then they have taken their own. But this one,” he said in disgust staring down at my angel who could scarcely now breathe “he has always been weak, he as always been fit for nothing. I have always known he would become nothing”
