My anti-virus software subscription ran out last week, and I couldn't get the renewal upload to work, so I went without anti-virus software for a few days. On Wednesday, I got attacked by "ransomware" which takes over your computer, won't let you do anything and keeps putting up a box so you can buy their "product." Like the rest of the Northern Hemisphere, we're in the grips of record cold. (according to today's paper, it was 10 degrees colder in Atlanta than Anchorage Wednesday night) There's a possibility of preciptiation this afternoon or evenng -- earlier they were saying snow, now it's sleet/freezing rain ( Read more... )
