A friend recommended that I read Cloud Atlas before I see the film. I ordered the book. Sadly (my ears are not what they used to be!) Hurricane Sandy has come on shore at Atlantic City. One of the reporters covering the storm has reported spray from waves higher than street lamps (about thirty feet.) My section of Phillie has power-so my neighbors are indulging in band practise. Keep safe everyone!

However, we are prepped for the storm. Batteries, candles, water, flashlights, everything charged up. All schools in Philadelphia are closed today and tomorrow. My office is closed for today. Mom and I decided to go out to dinner this evening. A new restaurant has opened in the neighborhood. It is called the Pickled Heron (http://thepickledheron.com/sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderfiles/mainmenu9112012.pdf) which was excellent.
