So. I would like to tell you all about clipping sting ray barbs.

We have to clip the barbs off the tails of the sting rays in our touch tank, lest they accidentally stab someone while they're being petted. We have two different kinds of stingrays, southern sting rays and cow nose rays.

Today, while diving in the biggest tank at the aquarium where I work, a scrawled cowfish bit me on the ear so hard it drew blood. At my supervisor's insistence, I tried to grab the little bastard to give him a good punishing shake, but instead I freaked him out and he swam top speed right into a wall.

I DID IT.

I drove from San Francisco, CA to Birmingham, AL in four days (with the help of my brother, of course).

We arrived yesterday around noon.

I'm just going to sleep for a week now.

Road trip to Alabama starts tomorrow, bright and early.

So much to do and not a lot of time to do it. :(
