Time Traveler's Wife turned out to be pretty decent. I don't think I'd gush about it the way people have to me, but it was OK. Neat idea, and I didn't have too many complaints, except for the completely unnecessary reference to September 11th. I'm not sure how I feel about White Teeth. I've really fallen off the reading wagon lately. Dogs of Babel was enh, and didn't exactly inspire me to move quickly. I'm also not making it through The Time Traveller's Wife at lightning pace, either. I think I've been watching too much tv, and not reading before bed enough. The book club has voted to go to a six-week rotation. I don't have any real objections, especially if it means that more people will have finished and be ready to talk about the books -- it just gives me more time to get through my own personal reading list. I had to sate the desire to read In Her Shoes, which I've been harboring since I saw the movie. I'm in the middle of that one, and it's interesting to see what stayed exactly the same and what was changed (and how).
