Such a slacker
I've really fallen off the reading wagon lately. Dogs of Babel was enh, and didn't exactly inspire me to move quickly. I'm also not making it through The Time Traveller's Wife at lightning pace, either. I think I've been watching too much tv, and not reading before bed enough. It hasn't helped that I've been going out a lot; when I get home late, I just want to get to sleep so that I can be something close to alert in the morning. Anyway, I only have two weeks left for TTTW, so I'd better get going soon. Unfortunately, it's probably not that good a week for it, but I feel like I've been getting other things organized (like my closet), so maybe I'll be able to devote more time to just sitting around and reading.
I think White Teeth is still the proposal for next "month", but I'll find out for sure on Tuesday. In the meantime, my sort-of-reading stack also has The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, Vanity Fair, El beso de la mujer aran~a, and Cause Celeb, which I've already read, but picked up again because I was reminded of it by a showing a couple weeks ago of some Angelina Jolie movie I'd never heard of. (Phew, not only was that a ridiculously long sentence, but I managed to end it on a preposition. Excellent.) Anyway, I've probably mentioned all of those books already, and no, I haven't made too much progress, but I figured I should get them in just in case.
