I have a brand new temporary crown so I'm back on solid foods and feeling much better about life in general than this time last week.

The evening and the morning from hell
I had a very shitty evening--broke a tooth clean in half, dentist is in New Orleans at a conference so I have to baby it along until Sunday. A 44 page book had to be turned into a 40 page book. Writer's Block: Church and State
yes and no. The government should keep track of legal unions so that people can legally prove which family they belong to. This is important for child custody and inheritance and many other kinds of similar issues. Otherwise it is not the government's business to say who can and can't enter into those unions.

Whew!
I'm self publishing Heart of the Tengeri as an ebook and as a paper back. I've been working on the design almost non-stop for over a week and now that it's uploaded I sort of have the bends. Afternoon Off
There is nothing to do at work--I have a sudoku on my copy holder--and I've already asked for the afternoon off. Chris is taking the afternoon off too. The Naturalist's pot luck is this evening. It's supposed to be a pool party and it will be ok with me if it rains and we stay indoors.

I've been venting
I've been venting on my Sword of Freedom blog off and on today. Palin hasn't been getting off easy. She's Anne Coulter but without all the honesty and intellectual rigor. She's Rush Limbaugh but without his sense of shame. The Repubs are gobbling her down like she's honey and cream.

Mall Walking

Friday at last!
