Rowan is at his first day of preschool today. I'm nervous and sad and happy to have some time away from the full on craziness of having a three year old around all the time for a day. He seems fine. I just had to put this out there: WHY THE FUCK do people think that feeding a baby mushy food means they *have* to buy jars of pre-made "babyfood?" WTF? Why is it so hard for people to steam some veggies and throw them in the food processor? Why is it so hard for people to even conceptualize that idea? Grrrrrr

Well, now that the dreads are off the table, I am on the quest for a new haircut.  I think I have settled on an inverted bob with lots of chunky layers in back.  I may even go to Wildilocks and get some crazy coloured streaks put in (the synth extension type to avoid icky chemical dyes, etc).  So, now I need a really good hairdresser recommendation ( Read more... )

Well, I had the dread consultation thingie today.  I don't think its going to happen.  It will take about 6ish hours at $90 an hour to install them and then every month or two I will need maintenance that takes a few hours at the same rate.  Sigh.  They're so pretty and cool and I've been talking about them for ages but I don't think its happening ( Read more... )
