Rowan is at his first day of preschool today. I'm nervous and sad and happy to have some time away from the full on craziness of having a three year old around all the time for a day. He seems fine. I just had to put this out there: WHY THE FUCK do people think that feeding a baby mushy food means they *have* to buy jars of pre-made "babyfood?" WTF? Why is it so hard for people to steam some veggies and throw them in the food processor? Why is it so hard for people to even conceptualize that idea? Grrrrrr

Well, Christmas wasn't as painful as it could have been.  I even got a bit of a parenting ego boost in that I got to see how bad I *could* be doing. ;)  An example:  There was a chocolate fountain at the aunt's place.  Rowan was eating nothing but the strawberries and not even touching the chocolate.  Everyone was amazed at this while the cousin's ( Read more... )
