That was painless. Things are put off for 30 days. And I was hideously overdressed. C'est la vie.

In roughly two hours, I'm due to be in small claims court in Palo Alto, defending my homeowners association. Normally, the prospect of appearing in court, particularly as the defense, would make me nervous, but for some reason this doesn't. Instead, I'm interested to see how it will all turn out.

My mood had improved. My car, which wasn't running particularly well, is running much better after some TLC by my favorite repair shop. I'd say it really needed all those fluids checked, filters replaced, etc. It also stops much better, what with the new brakes.

After a couple of years of intermittent prodding by evilhat, I've finally been prodded into getting a journal/blog. I'm not sure how often I'll be using it. Journals have always seemed better in the abstract than in the execution to me.
