Essex County
So for Christmas this year, mum got a whole bunch of Canada Reads books, and one of them was a graphic novel. I thought: "Great! Mum's gonna read a graphic novel! TIME MACHINES REPARED WHILE-U-WAIT
Just read a book Dad bought a while back called Time Machines Repaired While-U-Wait. By K. A. Bedford. I read it because I thought the premise was kind of neat. It's about a time machine repairman who gets in over his head in some timey-wimey conspiracy. But it just ended up reminding me why time travel stories are a crapshoot. Bollywood Mikado
So, yesterday was the opening of the Mikado. Although I still had to be safety-pinned into my saris, I managed to avoid any noticeable wardrobe malfunctions, although the cast make-up box has gone missing. A thought
I'm confused. Why is the Black Canary called the Black Canary? She's not black. Her costume doesn't even remotely have a bird motif, let alone a canary motif. Okay, maybe her costume is black, but still. And why a canary? Canaries are little yellow birds best known for saying "I tawt I taw a puddicat! I deed, I deed, I deed see a puddicat!" Writer's block to start things off
Six words is not enough. Let me think about it for an hour, while staring at a blank screen, ask advice from my parents, criticise their advice as being useless, and settle on a mildly satisfactory topic.
