A thought
I'm confused. Why is the Black Canary called the Black Canary? She's not black. Her costume doesn't even remotely have a bird motif, let alone a canary motif. Okay, maybe her costume is black, but still. And why a canary? Canaries are little yellow birds best known for saying "I tawt I taw a puddicat! I deed, I deed, I deed see a puddicat!" Tweetie Bird aside, scarcely intimidating creatures. She could have called herself the Black Platypus to more menacing effect. I mean, at least platypi are poisonous.
