I had to rescue Bean from a town 60 miles north in order to get him to the pdoc on time. We did it, however.
Doc doesn't think he's exhibiting signs of a schizophrenic break. His auditory hallucinations were that of someone who realized it was "not good." That it came from inside his head, not outside. (That's the best way I can describe it.) All ( Read more... ) -

Saw the new pDoc today. My initial impression is that I like him.
He wants to do a complete work up on Bean -- new testing both physical and psychiatrically (is that a word?). He thinks the diagnosis (Tourettes, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Early Onset BiPolar and PTSD) is completely off, but he said that's not uncommon given that the diagnosises ( Read more... ) -
Changes Ahoy
This year, as far as school goes, is really just been an exercise in teaching Bean to go to school at a higher level. If he walks away from the whole year with 1/4 credit we'll be doing good. His anxiety is so bad that it manifests physically. Normally gastero-intestinal problems. But he also got pneumonia this year, mono, and every virus du jour ( Read more... ) -

I found this today while trying to clean up my tags under my whiskeychick account. I wrote this more than 5 years ago. Not too much has changed save that Bean and his step-dad are much closer. Bean has been very aggressive and non-maliciously violent. Meaning his non-thinking actions are creating an environment that is very distressing and sometimes very scary ( Read more... ) -
on the see-saw of life
Was feeling good this morning, because Bean was very clear with his p-doc that he feels like he's on too many meds (cocktail of: lamictal, risperdal, clonidine, busprosbine (sp?), zoloft, and trazadone). He wants to try to just take one or two only -- three at most, because he knows sleep meds may always be a part of his life. She went on and on ( Read more... ) -
