Saw the new pDoc today. My initial impression is that I like him.

He wants to do a complete work up on Bean -- new testing both physical and psychiatrically (is that a word?). He thinks the diagnosis (Tourettes, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Early Onset BiPolar and PTSD) is completely off, but he said that's not uncommon given that the diagnosises ( Read more... )

This year, as far as school goes, is really just been an exercise in teaching Bean to go to school at a higher level. If he walks away from the whole year with 1/4 credit we'll be doing good. His anxiety is so bad that it manifests physically. Normally gastero-intestinal problems. But he also got pneumonia this year, mono, and every virus du jour ( Read more... )

 Bean's been cycling down for about 8 weeks now. Six weeks ago, the doctor started taking him off the wellbutrin, sensing that the anti-depressant was making things worse. Our summer has had a delayed start; but even given the low temps, Bean started his normal summertime (read...longer days and more daylight affect him much...ala SAD, yes) mania. And I figured we'd have some issues as School started. Tuesday and Wednesday night Bean wasn't doing well. He was edgy and wouldn't shower. Bean is doing fairly good. I'm seeing more and more 'teenage' tendancies arise in him. Sleeping and staying up later. He's always been good about getting up early, and I'm nervous for the school year ( Read more... )
