I didn't mention this, but I lost my job earlier this month. I really liked doing data entry at Xerox, but because of the stroke, I never quite got to a point where my speed picked up. I can't believe that it has been almost six months since I had my stroke. Even though I had a mild mid-brain ischemic infarction, I'm doing quite well. I don't walk like Frankenstein anymore, but more like a duck, and still with a cane. I can do house chores, but I still have to take breaks when I get tired. I'm nearing two months post stroke and I feel that I have come very far in a short time. I still walk a little like Frankenstein, but that is becoming less as I get stronger each day.
