New Year's Bucket List Challenge
I don't do resolutions-- most people don't keep them anyway. But the idea is good, and most people want to try new things and improve themselves. Christmas has come and gone, though it will be a while before our house is recovered. We got back from our trip to Canada yesterday (were supposed to have been back on Saturday, but the storm delayed us by a day) and it's a wreck.I managed to get a lot picked up this morning, but it's just going to take a while before it is settled. This time of year it's even more frustrating that no one posts on LJ anymore. The snippets I get on Facebook from most of you are lovely and topical, but I miss the slightly more in depth reflection that happens with LJ. There are so many of you I'd like to hear more from. Sigh ( Read more... ) -
A moment to debrief...
I am doing a little better since my last post-- I generally snap out of these things fairly quickly, particularly if I can distract myself with some other fun things. Ugh...
Feeling very unsettled tonight...some issues over a Facebook conversation, stress with Jeff's work, a feeling that I'm really not prepared for my classes tomorrow, haven't gotten enough done over the Thanksgiving break, ate too much crappy food today, etc. We're doing a role-playing game with some good friends over the Kinect video system and my ( Read more... ) -

Thankfully this week is passing much less eventfully than last week. The weekend, while not as restful as I'd have liked, was at least relatively quiet, and so far my classes have gone well. Where do I start? Nothing terrible has happened in the last week, but man has it been tiring! Shall we have a recap?
Saturday: Left the house at 8am to drive to Augusta to help lead a teaching conference on the Berlin Wall. I'd prepared for it for hours, drove two hours to get there, and then...there were only five of us there. Sigh. It was great ( Read more... )
