I was going to make this part of one of my five point posts, but since I don't know if everyone clicks in to read those, I"ll keep this short and hope for wider coverage. :) Do any of you have an xbox360 and/or Kinect? Through a somewhat strange turn of events, we just received one as a gift, along with a subscription to the live gold online package they have so you can play games online or videochat online. We are not typically "console game" people, but I am looking forward to trying it out, and have also heard there are some good games for kids that may even help Max with the core strength/motor skills issues that he's having problems with.
So-- what do you guys know about a) the game system, b) console games you recommend?
It came with a generic "adventures" game and a "Disneyland" game (which looks like it could be cool, albeit a giant ad for Disney) and I just ordered Kinectimals (the one they showed on all the commercials when Kinect came out-- mostly for little kids but with really cute fuzzy animals you can make do tricks) and Lego StarWars using some Amazon points and gift cards I had saved up. I plan to set up the system today and see if we can get it working, so I probably won't buy any more games myself until we have gotten used to what we have (never mind that we can't afford anything right now).
