Last night Arleta and I ventured to Glasgow to watch Grizzly Bear perform - no one else was cool enough to join us apparently (I'm talking about Matt, Chelsea, Scott, Mandy, Yann, Christi and Brandon). Today I should've been working on two 5,000 word essays that are due in less than two weeks, but I could not bring myself to write one word.  Instead I read leisurely, set an itinerary for next Monday's trip to Glasgow to see Grizzly Bear with St Vincent and indulged in punk rock - especially The Clash, Black Flag and The Germs.  I love the whole ( Read more... )

In celebration of the 20th anniversary of the destruction of the Berlin Wall, two giant marionettes - the Big Giant (a deep sea diver) & his niece the Little Giantess - will journey across Berlin to be "reunited."  France's Royal de Luxe street theatre company put on the production.
