Punk binge

Today I should've been working on two 5,000 word essays that are due in less than two weeks, but I could not bring myself to write one word.  Instead I read leisurely, set an itinerary for next Monday's trip to Glasgow to see Grizzly Bear with St Vincent and indulged in punk rock - especially The Clash, Black Flag and The Germs.  I love the whole ( Read more... )

Been listening to them lately. Ah, I had the biggest crush on Joe Genaro in junior high. He's opening for some band at El Rey in a couple weeks, but I'm flat broke.

Also, the new Converge album is real good.

I've been listening to "Bucky Fellini" more recently. Mostly Dead Milkmen and Black Flag. It's actually nice to get back to my adolescent years...

Sorry about the El Rey thing; what a bust!

I am really liking "Axe to Fall" - it shoved it's way into the #3 spot on my top ten of 2009, which I will be reposting with many amendments.

Also, I saw Grizzly Bear with St Vincent in Glasgow last night. I'm going to post the setlist/photos/videos soon.
