I went to bed really early last night (10:30) because I knew I had to be up early this morning. I fell asleep fine just like I always do, but all the sudden at around 12:30, I awoke WIDE awake and didn't know why. And it took me forever to fall back asleep. So I went to get an oil change, my tires rotated, and new wipers this morning, and it turns out I needed a new tire. Stupid Michigan pot holes! It had a little bubble/bulge in it, which apparently makes it a time bomb just waiting to burst. He got a $2000 grant from EMU (I'm so proud of him) and with his classes and what he's going to be doing after graduation, it really made sense for him to get one. So choral conducting is a little scary because it is SO the opposite of JZ's beginning conducting class. JZ was all like, "here's the exact gesture you're going to use, this is where it should be, this is how big it should be, etc." and TJ is like... "here, conduct this." So they took x-rays and nothing's broken. The doctor said he sees this a lot in music students from U of M... I basically just overdid myself, or caused "overuse syndrome." He recommended occupational therapy 2-3 times a week for 6 weeks. I had my first session today. I have to call my insurance company to see if they'll cover that much, if any, ( Read more... )
