So, got news that my medical waiver has been accepted. That's good. The bad news is I have to wait 2-3 weeks for an army doctor consultation before I can even get a ship date. They promised to expediate my ship date once I'm in for certain, but this plays hell with any chance of me finding a job in the mean time ( Read more... )

So, it's back to me. I need to find an orthopedic specialist (without insurance, possibly without a referral) to clear me of any leg problems before the Army will deal with me again. I went in to MEPS yesterday for the shipping/processing. I let them know about the hip during the final medical review. I didn't have to, because they forgot to ask me the questions, but I told them anyway. So, the doc & i talked for a bit, then she disqualified me from joining temporarily. So, sometime between last Wednesday afternoon and Thursday morning my left hip started bothering me quite a bit. I ran Wednesday morning and did a relatively normal leg exercise session that afternoon. Intelligently, I went for a long walk Thursday morning to see if that would work the kinks out.
