No matter how much time I spend on trying to format, get titles right next to the books, even after checking the preview, the pics never line up the way I expect them to! So frustrating.

I've got this problem.  If it were a drug or drink, or even sex, it would be considered an addiction.  But it's books.  So some would call it an obsession.  I think it's a straight-forward addiction.

Sometime in early 2009 (I think it was April) I decided to try the Colorful Reading Challenge hosted by Rebecca of Lost in Books. Well, I didn't make it through the challenge. I had to buy myself a dryer, which came to day (yes! now I can do some laundry- oh how fun...) which I used my christmas shopping money on. I also bought a table and chair set, using more of my christmas money. So, since I didn't have much left to spend on Christmas, what did I do? Of course I went to the bookstore. And bought:

Well today was payday.  The first full payday without a huge car payment (oh Yeah!), no insurance bill due; I just have to pay rent and pay back money I borrowed from one of  my many sons to pay the cable bill. (really, I only have three sons - and the son-in-law)

In a sudden unexpected gesture of goodwill, my husband handed me a bit of money "just to have".  So of course I decided to take my granddaughter to the bookstore.  We had a great time.  She found a "BackYardigans" halloween book, she helped me pick out a book for my grandson and she assisted me in looking for books.  Now she's two and a half, so ( Read more... )
