In a sudden unexpected gesture of goodwill, my husband handed me a bit of money "just to have". So of course I decided to take my granddaughter to the bookstore. We had a great time. She found a "BackYardigans" halloween book, she helped me pick out a book for my grandson and she assisted me in looking for books. Now she's two and a half, so she leads me to the rack and grabs a book and says "how about this one", she keeps doing that til I find a book I want. Then she said to me "Good Job! Grandma, now let's go to the kids books!" She's so damned cute.
I finally found Eternal Kiss. I just started the very first story in the book, which is Kaz's "Falling To Ash". Lovin' it so far.
I love this cover- the monroe piercing and all the ear holes- Love it. If my face was a little younger, I would consider a monroe piercing. They look cute, especially with a shiny stone in the piercing.
I was also able to buy "Iron Forged" by Meljean Brook
and M.L. Hanover's second book, "Darker Angels".
I'm glad I was able to go on this unplanned book buying trip. Three books that I've really been looking forward to. I feel lucky and grateful to my husband, who I really don't appreciate enough (because we've been married for 30 years, and he's a little irritating sometimes-probably as I am to him also. haha)
So I have added to my languishing TBR pile
Rosemary and Rue
Soulless
The Eternal Kiss
Darker Angels
Iron Forged
Some good books to read in the coming months - problem is, I don't know which one to read right now. My brain wants to skip around with the reading.
