Saturday Grab-Bag
- Not having to get up before dawn this week has had the unexpected consequence of putting me in front of the TV during the morning showing of Sesame Street, which I was delighted to learn is not entirely Elmo-in-front-of-a-blue-screen, but actually contains such awesomeness as "Preschool Musical" and Neil Patrick Harris as the Shoe Fairy.

20 years later and you think it will be MORE warm and fuzzy?
I find the hubbub over The Dark Night* being, well, dark very amusing as I distinctly recall the same thing happening when Tim Burton's Batman came out. People had little freak-outs when it wasn't all bright and goofy with close-ups of Robin buckling his seat belt. "But it has a McDonald's tie-in! It must be completely kid-safe!" I had vague plans of going to Bristol today, but it was raining when I woke up and the weather report predicted thunderstorms.
