Spring arrived all of a sudden. The week before last, I was wearing my winter coat, there was still snow on the ground and ice on the lakes, and there were some very frosty cold days. Saturday Grab Bag
- I went to see Endhiran through the Milwaukee film festival last Sunday. It was a lot of fun, if surprisingly violent. Going to see a movie in a movie theater always feels like it takes so much time, so willingly spending a Sunday evening in a theater watching a 3 hour movie is unusual for me. I survived working in the field last week with record dew points and whatnot. I'm looking forward to this week being slightly less oppressive.
I haven't seen Harry Potter yet. There are still lines at theaters for some showings, so I think I need to let it all clear out a bit more. Everything else on my to-see list has been relegated to "When it ( Read more... ) -

It's amazing what you can accomplish when your DSL is out for two and a half days running and you're off work that whole time. Harry Potter
I went to see Deathly Hallows part 1 and, as usual, it had been so long since I read the book or saw the previous movie that I felt a little lost. I should have picked an earlier showing because that sucker is long. So... lots of camping. Yes. Just like the book!

I drove home on Friday through driving rain with tornado sirens and low visibility. it was pretty cool out during the storms, but then when I stopped for gas just outside of town, it was UNBELIEVABLY HOT AND HUMID.
