20 years later and you think it will be MORE warm and fuzzy?
I find the hubbub over The Dark Night* being, well, dark very amusing as I distinctly recall the same thing happening when Tim Burton's Batman came out. People had little freak-outs when it wasn't all bright and goofy with close-ups of Robin buckling his seat belt. "But it has a McDonald's tie-in! It must be completely kid-safe!" I realize this time around things are no doubt pushed even further (in the ads alone, Heath Ledger's Joker makes Jack Nicholson's look as cartoonish as the latter made Cesar Romero's TV version look) but did people not learn their lesson?
Anyway, I've got to see that some time soon. There's also a new X-Files movie coming out tomorrow, and I haven't seen Get Smart yet, and everyone and their grandma is telling me how wonderful WALL-E is... so obviously I'm not going to get to all of those this weekend.
