Always one of the best days of the year! The Mets are hosting the Nats, which raises concerns that the team's all-time best Opening Day win percentage (.654, on a 34-18 record) will slip a bit. So yes, the federal government is in a shutdown again. And yes, we're somewhere in the neighborhood of 50 hours before reaching the debt limit. Oh, who cares?! All I know is traffic is better, I'm not furloughed, and when I ache for mere competence from our elected officials, I can always turn to the fictional versions of The West Wing. Tonight? Season 5, Episode 8 -- Shutdown. -
More adventures in Netflix
I finished the first season of Friday Night Lights a little while back, and viewing the season as a whole, I really can't say much more than WOW. That was really well done.
