I finished the first season of Friday Night Lights a little while back, and viewing the season as a whole, I really can't say much more than WOW. That was really well done. Well, at the beginning of the season, I wasn't too happy with the way Bones opened. They ended last season by splitting up the team for what they planned to be a year, and then opened this season by forcing everyone back together without cause. So, like, I just noticed that the DVR is gonna be recording a new episode of Flashpoint on Friday. I thought that show was done at 2 seasons, but I guess not. I'm actually rather pleased about this.

As per usual, I've given a chance to a new show or two, all while welcoming back old favorites. I also get to lament the loss of Lost, knowing that it was far better ending as it did than continuing on indefinitely; and I'll do without 24, which suffered terribly as a result of trying to hang on indefinitely. Look, I can't disagree with anyone who lauds the invention of the DVR as a great way to save time. I mean, it lets me start your show 10-15 minutes late and still end on time by skipping over all those commercials for products I'll never buy.But the real value of the DVR lies in its ability to keep track of my shows in a way that I just don't seem ( Read more... )

So I'm watching Gabriel Iglesias's stand-up on Comedy Central. If you get the chance, I highly recommend it.

It's amazing to me how little time I've had to post. But not surprisingly, I have some opinions...
