Opening Day!
Always one of the best days of the year! The Mets are hosting the Nats, which raises concerns that the team's all-time best Opening Day win percentage (.654, on a 34-18 record) will slip a bit. Because wow, are the Nats pretty much loaded. But whatever. Today is the day I can focus on one game, with none of the baggage that will result from the inevitable losing streaks that will accompany this young team. It may be a long, long season, but it should be good today. If, you know, I can find a way to watch the game.
