I had a hard time with Mom over the weekend - - not using her oxygen makes her confused and hard to deal with, but there's no point in me arguing with her about it. Relatively speaking. Mom still seems fine. I sat up all night - - I napped for about an hour and a half in my chair, then got another hour and a half on the couch this morning. I realize I can't do this indefinitely, and if she *is* going to die, I can't really do anything, but if she's conscious when it happens, I'll want to be there ( Read more... )

We're back home, but Mom isn't doing well. She's been more awake and alert this morning, but mostly sleeps and she's been talking a bit out of her head. I don't think Hospice will be coming in just yet. Mom's been talking to people, or rather people have been talking to Mom about it, telling her bad, possibly untrue things. Such as, she won' be able to see a doctor again, which I know can't be true, because, doesn't hospice have its own doctors? And that they will regulate her meds, but *I* don't ( Read more... )
