I almost died yesterday, did I tell you that?
I was blow-drying my hair.
With a blowdryer.
And the cord went right into the sink, and I didn't notice.
And I turned on the water.
I dropped it on the floor, turned off the water, and ran out of the room.

I had always thought, what could be worse than coming home after a long stay away and realizing that everything your love once stood for, everything you came back for, was gone?
