Just went through the York Rite degrees this weekend. It was awesome. More on that later.

Yesterday i passed my Class A Lecturer Certification Exam (from the Grand Lodge of North Carolina, A.F. & A. M.) down in Fayetteville. This is a big deal for me becuase it required about 9-10 months of studying my ass off. I am really proud of this. They gave me a fancy certificate, a lapel pin (Masons love their lapel pins), and a carrying card.

Well, i made it back in one piece, but it was a close call. i had a little motorcycle accident that earned me a trip to the emergency room on Saturday the 24th. Nothing was broken (thank GOD!). i thought i had dislocated my shoulder, but it turns out it is only "badly bruised." Monday it became official that i have been promoted to the position of DAS Solutions Design Supervisor (i was formerly the Senior Designer). This means that i now have a direct report, and some more responsibility. So far, so good. Friday will be the first paycheck with the increase (and retro pay).

Last night was the awards ceremony at the Lodge. It also happened to be Woodley's birthday (i think he turned 76).
