Russian-based hackers broke into a major fuel pipeline system recently and tried to force them to pay millions in ransom. Instead, the pipeline people shut it down for a few days to restart it safely. As awful as events were in our nation's capitol, I must admit there has been an odd sense of being freed now that things have "gone down" in such a way. Coming back from the horrendous de-conditioning of 9 months spent exclusively or mostly on my ass is not an easy feat. I've done it before, mind, the last time in 2014 I think-- the year I kept spraining my joints in pairs. Both ankles then both knees then both wrists, then both ankles and knees again. One of the most sad things about aging is that music is not listened to with as much enthusiasm and not heard with the same appreciation as in youth. From the tweens into the early 20s, by contrast, music is HUGE-- and in human brains, it is meant to be. I just found out that "Mara," my sister's long-time therapist and social services coordinator, will continue contact with some of her very long-term clients, like my sister. I.Q. or Intelligence Quotient, is supposed to be a decent indicator of general intelligence, and it's been around for many years.
