A Brighter Attitude As Truth Comes To Light
Vindication... validation... the perfect words to express how I'm feeling now.
I've been saying for years that this slippery slope to "routine lying" would lead to a bad place, and I was proven right.
I've been saying to many people, including my once best friend Robin, that Trump was lying and that certain agencies were supporting those lies and others for ad money or political opportunity, and I was proven right.
I tried diplomacy, reasoning, pulling up evidence, and so many other "civilized" ways to demonstrate my serious misgivings for where the Republican party has been heading under the dubious leadership of Donald Trump-- but nothing worked. Trump followers believed a man who lies constantly, has ties to the Russian mob and Russian president's disinformation campaign, and followed along because he happened to be positioned as their political party leader, and their blind loyalty led them to be completely discredited.
I've had to ban a couple of Russian commenters from my LJ for arguing with me about Trump. Given how LiveJournal is owned by Russians, and given how many Russian fans I have for my paranormal blog, I try to allow room for doubting motives, but both had LJ pages devoted to how Trump is a great guy being wronged, and if they're not paid agents spreading disinformation, then they're complete morons, who fell for a propaganda campaign, same as many in the American Republican party.
I said I was done. I said my patience was broken. I wasn't kidding.
In the simplest of terms to all Trump supporting trolls: I've been right and you've been wrong and I'm not interested in hearing your side anymore. You can disagree with me all you want, but NOT on MY blog. I've heard it all before and you're only serving to harden me against you and your interests. I don't give a shit what you think, so bugger off!
Having the freedom to breath deeply because I no longer have to cater to idiots and shills (a shill is a person paid to pretend to be a normal recipient of a service or information, but who is actually in on a confidence scheme or con job) feels really good today.
